Confuscius

Confuscius was pretty empty today. I held open the door for Rose to walk in, tipping an imaginary hat like a doorman.

I smiled and clumsily tripped over something.... or nothing,like always.I grimaced and got myself together.

I braced myself to catch Rose, but she stopped herself from falling. "Are you okay?!" I asked, concerned.

I nodded. "Oh,yeaaaah. Im an expert at tripping and falling..its kind of like a hobby for me..an unwanted bestfriend.." i said sarcastically

I laughed, "It's okay, I'll be your security guard. Nobody makes this girl over here trip! Do you hear me? I said NOBODY."

I giggled. "Okay... youre hired..!" I looked around and smiled. "Do you come here often.?"

I shook my head, "Not really. My diet usually consists of Burger King, Nutella, and cereal." I said with a shrug as I asked the lady at the blue front desk next to the door, "Table for two, please?"

I cocked my head to the side! "Thats a pretty balanced diet.." i giggled. i followed the lady to a table and thanked her right away

I pulled Rose's chair out for her again and sat down in the chair across from her. I began to trace the engraving of a dragon that was in the blue wooden table, "So, tell me more about yourself, Rose."

"Uh. My name is Rose.. i have a small case of OCD ...i dont really like talking about it.uhmm..... er.. i am the only child.. raised by my father...i have a type of anxiety that goes... something like me breaking down in front of a lot of people...i love animals.. currently not in a relationship..uh... what else..?" I looked down at the table

I shook my head, "You did a lot better than me off the top of your head." I said. Currently not in a relationship.

I smiled. "Yay.!!" I looked up at him. "Maybe you dont care too much to think about it...?" I shrugged.

I shrugged, "Maybe you're right..." I laughed, "So, any hobbies?" I clapped my hands together slowly, "Wow, know I now how those couples that meet for the first time from Match.com feel."

I shrugged. "Im learning to skateboard. . " i smiled. I had a thousand scars as my prize for skateboarding.."What do you mean.?"

I nodded, "Skateboarding. Really? That's so cool. I used to have a skateboard..." I looked down and scratched the back of my neck, "Until I tried to jump the garage..."

My eyes widened.. "what..?!" I saw him scratch the back of his neck..it looked awkward"Youre an awkward person." I nodded once and grinned."But i like awkward people...."

I nodded, "Yeah...I get that a lot."

I smiled.. "whats on the menu"

I lifted up the menu. Ugh, it was all in Chinese. "Well, there's tiny slash, big slash, straight line, horozontal line, scribble, or...." I described the marking that were Chinese letters on the menu.

I laughed and looked at the menu. I didnt quite speak chinese.. "i think we should just ask for some type of translator....?"

I sighed and read the menu, translating, "Red Grouper sandwich, Fried shrimp on the side. Fish salad. Full-portion tuna on top of rice. Tilapia with tartar sauce on the side..."

"I will just have what you are having.." i nodded. "Wow. You learned chinese really fast..!"

I laughed, "I know Chinese, German, Swedish, Italian, and Spanish. I tired Japanese, but the name 'Japenese' itself was a mouthful."

I grinned. "I only know Spanish German and Japanese..im working on French.." i sighed. WOW. He speaks a lot of languages....hes so majorly awesome its ridiculous.

I laughed, "Hola, Rose. Come estas?" I smiled as my mind reeled back to all of the Spanish phrases I learned.
