What a Mess

I nodded, "So, you being new, me being fairly...um...not-new," I scratched the back of my neck, "maybe you could use a tour?"

"Not if it puts you out of your way or anything." I told him.

I shook my head, "Not at all." I said with a smile.

"Well..okay then." I agreed, after raising an eyebrow to think about it for a second.

I nodded, "Well. There are two tours." I smirked cheekily, "Eh hem, I mean, two that are free. Either of the neighborhood or of the school."

"Wait a sec." I said, stopping him by placing a finger over his lips. "Let's hear about the non-free ones."

I smirked, "Well, the non-free tours are better, but have a price to pay. They contain a high quality tour with in depth knowledge of each fantastic stop. But, there's this price to pay..." I looked at my nails, trying to look casual.

I smiled. "Good job, you're not that bad at being cryptic." I told him. "Too bad I'm bad at caring." I told him, sounding kind of bitchy as I smiled and turn around to face the bookshelf again.

"Alright, no ambiguous descriptions? Fine." I said, folding my arms and leaning on the bookshelf.

"Fine." I smiled, keeping an eye on the bookshelf as I looked all around for some interesting book.

I mentally facepalmed myself. Hard to get. "So, are you in or out? This tour guide has other customers lined up." I pointed to myself with my thumb.

"..Okay." I responded, turning away from the bookshelf and looking back at him.

"'Okay' isn't a definite answer." I said, folding my arms over my chest.

"Ugh." I moaned, ripping away from the bookshelf and putting both my hands on both his shoulders. "Yes James. Tour me around...please?" I asked, giving him a rare genuine smile.

Dang. That was out of nowhere. I laughed, a twinge of surprised nervousness in my voice, "Well...if you insist..." I grabbed her wrist gently and began to run, "To the classes!"

"I d..." Before I could finish, James grabbed my wrist and pulled me as he started to run. "And now we're running.." I said.
